How to Install macOS on a MacBook Pro

1. Backup Your Data

• Before installing, back up your important files using Time Machine or manually copy files to an external drive.

2. Check Compatibility

• Make sure the macOS version you want to install supports your MacBook Pro model. You can check on Apple’s website or through the installer.

3. Download macOS Installer

• Open the App Store or go to System Preferences > Software Update.

• Download the macOS installer for the version you want (e.g., macOS Ventura, Monterey).

4. Create a Bootable USB Installer (Optional but useful for clean install)

• Get a USB flash drive (at least 16GB).

• Use Terminal with the following command (example for macOS Ventura):
