How to Install macOS on a MacBook Pro
1. Backup Your Data

Before installing, back up your important files using Time Machine or manually copy files to an external drive.
2. Check Compatibility

Make sure the macOS version you want to install supports your MacBook Pro model. You can check on Apple’s website or through the installer.
3. Download macOS Installer

Open the App Store or go to System Preferences > Software Update.

Download the macOS installer for the version you want (e.g., macOS Ventura, Monterey).
4. Create a Bootable USB Installer (Optional but useful for clean install)

Get a USB flash drive (at least 16GB).

Use Terminal with the following command (example for macOS Ventura):
Replace /Volumes/MyUSB
with the name of your USB drive.
5. Installation Options
Option A: Upgrade / Reinstall macOS

Run the downloaded installer from your Applications folder.

Follow on-screen instructions to upgrade or reinstall macOS.
Option B: Clean Install via Bootable USB

Plug in the USB installer.

Restart your Mac and hold Option (⌥) key during boot to open the boot menu.

Select the USB installer.

In macOS Utilities, choose Disk Utility to erase your internal disk (optional, if you want a clean install).

Then select Install macOS and follow instructions.
